About Lemon Bride

One of my tamer nicknames is “Lemon” as in Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. We both share the same first name, love food, and say sarcastic and nerdy things at inappropriate times. I just got a proposition to spend the rest of my life with a pretty nice guy; I said yes, despite my misgivings about marriage (hence a double meaning for the sour fruit).

I’m an Un-Romantic, which means you’ll rarely see gooey, lovey-dovey stuff on here. I’m trying to plan a completely untraditional city slicker wedding in a small, Southern area (wish me luck). We’re also in the first-home-buying process and I’ll need your help as my own personal HGTV assistants. I want to show off amazing, fun, pretty things both in the wedding world as well as my own reality. Let’s make some lemonade!

Hi 🙂 First I want to say thank you for your comment on Wedding Chicks!! The images for the Virginia Engagement session were shot in Spotsylvania Virginia, which is just an outskirt of Fredericksburg. 🙂

Hello, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading your blog and your cake choice is inspirational as Fergus (son) is a big Mario fan. So I hope you don’t mind me letting you know about the mismatched vintage cake stands I make at http://www.letthemeatcake.co.uk.. just in case you want to add some china to your blog and of course an excuse to think about more cake – enjoy..Carole
